Bandar Utama was developed by Bandar Utama Development Sdn. Bhd. which is a part of the First Nationwide Group of holdings. The First Nationwide Group was previously known as See Hoy Chan Group.
This is an aerial view of the Bandar Utama township. Currently the entire Bandar Utama area consists of BU1, BU2, BU3, BU4, BU7&10, BU11 (Gembiria), BU11 (Hatiria) and BU12 areas. Other areas of Bandar Utama are still being developed. Each area is assigned a special name as follows:-
